Had a heck of a time finding bait tues evening...alll the usual spots were empty. After 4 hours I had 5 medium shad. Decided to fish wed evening...saw a few flips from the dock, scooted out there and threw once...30-40 dollar bills. One and done.....go figure. Thinking the fish just might be slightly upriver vs down at the mountain I put in lower BW, trolling countor lines and the far edges of MCP's. Caught 2 nice fish, 30" 10lbs right away on a weighted float line WAY off the back. Same pole 10 minutes apart....they both fought like the dickens. That was it...never marked more then scattered fish, had nervous bait but no more takers. It was beauty of an evening...calm and quiet.

Nice evening on the water.
What time were you trying to catch bait?
