Well, either no one is doing much fishing or those fishing are just keeping quiet. So, me and two of my neighbors camped out in Elmo's, mouth of Elmo's and various points across from the dam on Monday 5/15. After about 3 hours we all decided that the fish had moved to parts unknown. We never marked any fish. Today, 5/17, we again checked Elmo's and did mark a few fish but just could not get them to bite. We re-deployed to various locations and we all came home flying the skunk flag. I ended up at the mouth of Craddock and did mark more fish but they were not interested in the bait I was offering.

I've personally never had great luck in mid-May - the fish are either thinking of other things or on the move. Others do have good luck - heard of a nice catch or two yesterday....

I agree that mid May can be a very difficult time. We will be here through mid June and I hope it picks up a bit before we have to leave.
