I took a friend of mine out yesterday morning, his first time at SML. We went to the damn and trolled from 8am to 3pm. We had six rods out with a variety of artificials and not even a bite. I might have marked one fish every couple of hours. We always had like seven boats in sight of us and I only saw two fish come in. Lots of boats zooming in looking and then leaving. I guess it was just a slow day and I would say the fish aren't by the damn any more. It was a gorgeous day and my friend loved the lake and it was still a good day. We will try again next week, thinking about going out at night.
