I plan on fishing SML this weekend and am interested in getting a chip to familiarize myself with the lake. I have a Helix 9 GPS and Fishfinder.
Which has the most detail? Navionics or Lake Master?

I use the Navionics card with 1' contour detail but haven't updated it several years. I've not used the LakeMaster but I know they were on SML a year or two ago charting the lake.

Navionics Platinum is the best

I installed Navionics in a Lowrance XD and LOVE it. I trust it enough that I got in a very heavy fog one night this year and was easily able to stay in the main channel just by watching my screen all the way back to the ramp:)

I just put a new Minn Kota Powerdrive 2 with i-pilot and a Helix 7 Chirp DI GPS G2N on my boat and purchased the Lake Master Smartstrike for Smith Mountain Lake. Haven't tried it yet but will be there May 16th for a few days. Looks good and has a lot of info and on it.

I'm in the process of installing a Minn Kota Ulterra with Ipilot link on my boat. Does the trolling motor / Ipilot link work with the Lake Master Smartstrike?
