I just bought a 1648 mv fisher aluminum boat today, with a galvanized trailer. 1988 model. Has a 40 Johnson 2 stroke. Paid $950 for the boat and trailer. The motor has sit for about 3-4 years, guy said it run earlier but we couldn't get it started. Either way I got a good deal on the boat. Looking for a good boat mechanic to go through motor and get her running. Any help. Thanks

Smith mountain boat As well I have been in there a couple times getting things and they are super nice and reasonable as well.

Just the Motor is worth that !! I,ve being looking for a 40 for my 1648 !! If you would be interested in a Good Running 15 Johnson well !! I know not enough JaZZ !!! Anyway Good Luck !!I teanker a lot with motors But I,m in Becckley WV !! But if you want If its Firing On both cylinders The The Carb Is Propaly Gommed Up !!! Take it off & clean it Pretty Simple

Fat daddy, thanks for the help. I'm hoping I can get it running for a few years then replace the motor with a new 25 4 stroke. I'm going to spend a few months and restore the boat. Going to paint it and re-wire it.
