Just think if you would have put it back in the lake and caught it again next year it would have weighed 8 lb and could have gotten a VA or NC Citation Award. Got to let them go to grow!

yeah but the lake i was on gets fished pretty hard and somebody else would probably catch her and not put her back

Great job young man. I'll be the first to give you congrats. I caught a 5.5lb large mouth out of a farm pond when I was a kid fishing on a day off from school with my granddad. I have it mounted in my office to this day. I don't have any desire to mount another one so I do put them all back now. But I wouldn't trade that DEAD fish mount for nothin. It's a great conversation starter and every time I look at it remember that day and reflect on many days fishing with my paw paw. I have two VA brook trout Citations and I couldn't even tell you where to find the certificate. Again good job on the PB.

thanks and i do have a crappie citation from when i was like 3 years old i think it was 2.1 pounds

i do alot of fishing and hunting but when i fish i do pit alot of fish back and the fish i dont put back i eat so it is my right to keep these fish and do as i please with them i meant they have a size limit for a reason as long as i fallow them i can do as i please with the fish i catch and good day to all of you
