Months before the release of HDS units and Structure Scan I had the privilege of watching them in action on JD's boat. Saturday the 8Th I installed Structure Scan on my boat. It wasn't until this past Saturday that I had a chance to get on the water with it. All I can say is wow, I went to Leesville and saw things in a whole new light. The down Scan images are absolutely incredible. Now that I have everything hooked up I realize that I'm gonna have to have a HDS10.
Thanks to both Mike and Tyler for helping with info.

Tyler, mine is a 7, it does the job but I can't pull up but 2 windows at a time. I would like to be able to have the DownScan, Sonar and Chart up at the same time.

Leo - you say you "can't pull up two windows at a time". With the later software update on the HDS7 you can actually do a 3-way split. Now, seeing it on the screen at that size is a different story...... You can also adjust the panel widths - a two way split with sidescan and regular sonar at a 75/25 split or 66/34 is not a bad option.

Mike, I'm doing a 2 way split, I ran the down scan on 2/3rds and conventional sonar on 1/3 for sake of comparison. With my eye site and a 7" screen, a three way split just wouldn't work.

Agree - just because you can doesn't mean you should - definately applies to three-way split with the hds7
