Abu Garcia alphamar?

Does anyone have any experience with these I got one NIB off eBay for $69 thought it was worth a try. 20lbs of drag and I was looking for a Line counter for running a U-rig this summer.

Dude that is a reel worth $70 any day of the week. I believe that they stopped making the alphamar WITHOUT the line counter. We fish abu 7000's and love em. The alphamar is less expensive and seems to hold up just as well (at least without the LC). My buddy Joey has 3-4 of them and loves them (for BIG blue James River catfish). He is disappointed that they are out of production.

I just got it in the mail today it looks and feels really nice. Big power handle and the synchro drag seems reel nice too
