First trip out this year, couldn't stand it with the beautiful weather.
Some friends and I fished from dark until 1:00am , throwing f-18 rappallas, deep diving rogues and a fluke or two. Fished from indian up to beaver. Caught 12, all good fat fish up to 32 inches. Caught 5 in the last 45 min, so the bite may have just been getting good but we had to roll. F-18 caught the most.

Very cool! Where you hitting a certain type of structure? (rock points) or what was the approach? Thanks!

We caught 6 halfway back or farther into a creek and not on rock or riprap. Then hit another creek and caught 5 on riprap. I had been avoiding the long shallow flat points because I didn't think they were probably up that shallow yet but the last two spots we fished were just that and caught a fish off of each in about 3 foot of water. One of the last points was a main channel point, the only one I fished and we caught the biggest of the night so go figure. I had been avoiding main channel points as well. LOL. 2 were caught on main channel points. I didn't fish but a few main channel points. All the bait was in the backs of creeks.

Thanks for the report! What color plugs seemed to be the best?

On darker moonless nights we have much better luck with gold and black rapallas. Bright nights we will use either black n silver or the vampire type colors. Granted this is when they are hitting fairly shallow, I usually don't fish the shallow divers until the water temps are 55 to 60 ish. When we went on that trip the water was around 56, I know it has backed off now so I would be fishing something deeper most likely-flukes or deep divers. Sure wish I was there for the evening today- prior to this front could be awesome !!
