Do any of you guys remember Steele's bait store in Rogersville TN? I doubt it is still there. But does anyone know? There also was a bait store there at the bridge that always had the best bucktails, and Shyster spinners. I heard that it went out of business when the father died. Anyone remember or have an update on Rogersville? I still plan to go back down there and fish the river and try fishing the new steam plant at night one of these days. It has been 30 years since I was there, so I realize it may be a wasted trip.

I lived in Kingsport for 2 years (2009-2011) and fished Cherokee regularly. I don't recall seeing or hearing about a place called Steele's. Doesn't mean it's not there. tnbassfishing.com This is a link to a site much like this one. Lots of doods from east TN hang out there. I hung a question there asking about Steele's. One of the locals will help you out.

It's closed. Dunno when. Locals say it hasn't been around for years.

Thanks. Yeah, I didn't think Steele's would be there after all this time. I will check the fishing link you've provided. My brother and I have talked several times about getting down there and fishing the river again in spring. It's really just more about going back after all the years, than really expecting to catch anything.
Thanks again
