Just wanted to put some warm and fuzziness out there today. I fish Grimes Creek and it's nearby areas daily from a trolling motor propelled canoe. The wind really started kicking through the creek as the morning wore on, and was making it pretty difficult to keep control of my windsail of a vessel. A gray colored bass boat came up around the bend going just fast enough to pass for being on plane. Immediately I prepared for the worst, trying to fight the wind and get my nose towards the wake I expected. Before I could muscle it around, I saw the boat drop to idle speed a good 200 yards away from me, and they maintained that speed until they were far enough past me to accelerate without dumping me in the lake. I don't expect that from every boat, but when everything else is working against you, it's a huge relief to experience a little common courtesy. Thank you, mystery bass folks, for keeping this poor little fisherman dry!

I just saw this. I believe that was me. I try to teach my son the proper etiquette of driving a boat and watching for other boaters. So many do not pay attention to their surroundings. I have been in a canoe and dumped by large wake. I just wish others would do the same. Tight lines!!!!!

Nice. You're a good dood for doing this. There's room for all of us to follow this example. Respect matters.
