Does anyone have the 30 gallon extreme bait tank? How well do they perform? How many shad can you keep in a 30 gallon? Wanting to buy a bait tank just not sure which one to get. Thanks for any input.

I bought this tank and here are my $.02.
I bought my tank about 9 months ago and in my opinion it was a Gen 1 tank that had a few issues - most notably the constrictive plumbing, the use of a Keep-Alive system instead of a Dannco, and no insulation in the walls of the tank. In addition to these main things there were some other nit-picky things such as the type of light used for interior illumination and some other finishing touches that weren't quite up to par but didnt affexct the function of the tank in any way.
However - it appears they have corrected most of these issues if not all as they now come with a Dannco, also come with insulation, and I assume they worked on the plumbing as well, but I haven't seen one up close to verify.
I assume the tank works really good now as I actually changed the plumbing up on mine and added a Dannco and was very happy with it once I made these changes. (Shoutout to JohnR for his advice on this in an earlier thread) Also as an FYI - my 30 gallon actually held more like 40 gallons. I like the filter box on it that stands vertical - my filters always seem to catch a ton of stuff but I havent ever had a SBT II to compare it to.
So in summary I think it is a good tank now that it has those modifications, but I don't think it holds any advantages over a SBT II other than being readily available and maybe priced just a bit better.
Hit me up if you have any other specific questions and I'll answer as best as I can.

What Coheasion said is the truth, and was my experience too.
I haven't seen a new one, but have heard they are much better than the Gen 1 tanks that we got.
I changed my plumbing very early on, and did give Coheasion all the information I had so that he could change his. I never added a Dannco, though I did build my own venturi that worked a lot better than the KeepAlive system it came with.
After I got my tank straightened out I was able to keep a couple hundred large alewives for over 2 weeks in 70 degree water, while taking them to a few different lakes in that time. It would hold as many gizzards as I could stuff into it also, provided there was sufficient airflow and I maintained the filter.
Make sure you get one with lid seals.
