Details regarding the December 3rd, Striper Mafia Winter Classic tournament are up live on the website - and registration is open. At this time we will have a maximum of 60 teams for the Dceember event, so sign up ASAP as a number of teams are already registered! www.smlstripermafia.com/201617-tournament-series.htmlwww.smlstripermafia.com/registration.htmlA few key tournament details: $100 entry per team (max of 4 anglers/team) $25 Optional Big Fish Pot - 100% payout The more teams, the more places we'll pay out - details of payout on the website, but basically 1 place for 1-10 teams, 2 places for 11-20, 3 places for 21-30; 4 places for 31-40; and 5 places for 41-60 teams. We will also award 10% of entry fees as a raffle to one or more non-placing teams, so even if you have a tough day you have a chance to win $$$ - not to mention raffle prizes that all anglers are eligible for. As we finalize our sponsor details in the coming week or two, we hope to be able to add "kicker prizes" some of the tournament and/or big fish payouts to sweeten the pot even further. We'll finalize details on Captain's Meeting time & locaiton & "lines in" over the coming few weeks - but the post-tournament check-in & awards will be held at Crazy Horse Marina. We strongly encourage you to pre-register for the event(s) - helps us with our planning - though you can sign up day-of at the Captain's Meeting - but if we are up against our 60 team maximum then those pre-registered will have 1st shot. If you have any questions shoot me a PM here, or send us an email to stripermafia@gmail.com

We will be collecting (new) toys to donate as a part of the collection that is done by various organizations around the lake, including our sponsor Sea Tow, to ultimately give to Lake Christian Ministries which will then distribute them to underprivileged children. Direct donations of toys are welcome, but we will be doing a special raffle - each toy contributed gets a ticket - this one for a Tim Wade Net..... some years Santa has a sack - some years he needs a cast-net to carry all those toys in.... As a little background, Lake Christian Ministries is a local non-profit organization that supports the surrounding lake communities in numerous ways, food pantry, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Breakfast, crisis financial aid such as money for special needs such as fuel for heating, electricity, housing, medical, a used clothing supply, household items such as linens, some appliances, etc., help with home repairs, toys for Christmas, etc. so the toys all stay local. Bedford, Franklin and Pittsylvania County. Parents apply to them for assistance and all the toys that come in are organized and distributed locally. This is all done on a low income eligibility basis.

We've got a good group lined up to fish the Winter Classic tournament in a little under 2 weeks - looking at almost double from our Dec event last year as long as everyone makes it - but still spots open if you're on the fence and trying to decide if you want to fish it or not..... www.smlstripermafia.com/registration.html
