A Leesville Thanksgiving

Rolled out around 7:30 just Me and Randi. Got the boat in the water and went on the hunt for bait. I struggled to find enough to really fish with but with time running out we fished with what we had. I hit several creeks putting big gizzards up on the banks and downlining peanuts over deeper water. Had one board get crushed, no swirl, chasing or nothing, just under and gone. Felt like a solid fish pulling off drag but when I handed the rod to Randi I guess he got some slack and shook it off. That was the only hit on a board. picked up a few on downlines and that was about it. I hit the motherload of a school but had already dumped the tank and put the rods up getting ready to head in. Just happened to look at the sonar and was like.....

Im still doing right much hunting but seems all my deer have vanished on me. Travis was nice enough to have me along last sunday. 1st time i had fished since spring. Im actually startin up a new job next week where I'll be workin 4 10's so ya know what that means. I definately got alot of catchin up to do. Hopefully lots of reports to come!
