Just a reminder the annual boat Christmas parade will be Saturday night leaving Virginia Dare marina at 7:00 P.M. coming up to Hales Ford bridge and down to the State Park then back to Va.Dare.

Yep - about 1.6-1.7 ft (bottomed out at 789.15 or so) - but we are still sending more water downstream than is coming in (399 cfs downstream from Leesville vs 358 cfs coming in to SML - average as of this morning) - so the only reason we can be up is the have pumped all the generation capacity back up from Leesville. In fact, looking at the "adjusted elevation" vs the actual SML elevation it looks like they pumped a little extra up here. The amount going downstream from Leesville is down - was running like 450ish.

Just wait til AEP needs another boost of energy and drains the lake.

Parade is over, time to start dropping the lake. Kidding...kinda, but it has dropped 1/2 foot.

Cold night out, seven boats showed up all dressed out, two fire boats and three AUX boats. Saw one boat out watching on the water, bunch of people up at the bridge at the old DeLongs and at Bridgewater. Nice start to the Christmas season.
