Visiting Lake Looking for Advice

Hey SML Guys, I am coming to the lake for a long weekend 9-18 till 9-21. I have been to SML the last 4 years in a row mostly to bass fish but I really dig the stripers on your lake as well. I am coming from Maryland and I fish the Chesapeake a ton for stripers on light tackle. I am staying in the bottom area of the lake, my map says LOUSE Creek/Cove/Vista Point.


Not looking for anyones spots just a general idea as to what is happening down there.   Are the stripers hitting topwater?   Jigs?

What section of the lake is hot right now?   if its hot at all?  


Anyone doing anything for smallmouth or largemouth?? 


In years past I have done really well in the "S" turns up north but that is generally in October. 


Appreciate any info you can spare.

You aren't far from them. Check your PMs

You'll be on a good end of the lake this time of year - might see some breaking fish potentially - but also look for larger schools on the lower end.....
