Went back to Neuse River for the drum again. My son took a couple of his baseball buddies. After not getting a bite in 2 1/2 days last weekend while everybody around us was catching them, we hoped our luck might have changed. Fished from 6:30am-10am. Caught first fish at 8:10. he was 45". Next one hit at 8:40am and was 43" We had a self imposed cut off time of 10 am and the last one hit at 9:52am and was our biggest at 48" All caught on popping corks and DOA Airhead baits. The post Hermine storm weather was actually pretty good. Winds out of the North at 10-15 made fishing decent with the shoreline protecting the area we fished.

They will be there. Water temp in river dropped from 86-90 range to 83 with all the rain, but the clarity was very good. Our fish came from shallower water as the bait we found had moved in some. I'll be down there fishing Saturday am for them so give me shout when yall get on the water.
