Went out this morning around A little before 6am used trolling motor to get out no trouble. Around 8:45am I noticed that the lake had dropped headed back to the ramp and barley made it back in also noticed AEP checking out the area I think another 1/2 hour I would have been screwed.

wonder what would happen if they didnt release water for a day or two? Has anyone compared water levels on SMl to Leesville to Stuanton River?

On AEP's website they have the actual lake level, and then this measurement. Seems pretty useless, but interesting:
Smith Mountain Adjusted Elevation: 791.68 This is the level the lake would be if the water currently held in the lower Leesville Lake for reuse were pumped back into Smith Mountain Lake.

Currently the water level is 790.3. It is down another foot over where it was two weeks ago. Last week I was at the Halesford ramp and there was about 3 and a half feet at the bottom of the ramp. I wonder if it is possible to still launch there.
