I would like to add a t top to the new boat and was curious to see if any of you guys have recommendations on what to buy or not to buy. I was looking at kits and don't know if I should go that route or bite the bullet and have a stainless one made. Not opposed to buying a used one if anyone knows of one for sale anywhere.

C.E. Smith makes real nice ones, but they are a bit pricey. Solid construction and adjustable tops.

Jason , mine is a CE Smith . The frame , top , electronics box, and rod holders. My buddy Mark ( RIP) and I installed it on my boat in May of 2009. For what it's worth, I have not had any issues with it at all. I know since then there are a whole lot more options out there though. Good luck with whatever route you choose and it will be a great addition to your rig.

I checked on the c e smith tops but they may not be making them anymore. all the websites that have them say no longer available and the smith web site has t top accessories but nothing about the actual top.

^ This is correct. Last fall I went by there (they are right across the street from my work in GSO) i was told they were selling floor model/displays for $ 650.00 without canvas, they didn't have anymore and they said they were not planning on making them any longer. There are many people that make them starting at $ 1,700.00 with no E box, and up to $ 2,400.00, I will be adding one this winter! Good luck.

VERY nice top. I bet that's a Sea Hunt top that somehow escaped from the factory.

Modlin's Welding in Farmville, NC (not VA) does great work on tops custom fitted to your boat. A bit of a drive for you but worth it
