Dad my three boys and I took our annual fathers day fishing trip to the New River. We put in at Peppers Ferry bridge and fished down to Whitethorne. We threw mostly top water prop baits a few jerkbaits and a couple of different plastics in search of some nice smallmouths. Between the 5 of us in two jon boats we managed to catch just over 100 smallies a few blue gill and a few red eyes. Dad did manage to get a nice musky. Not what we were fishing for but a nice surprise. We forgot to bring anything to measure it with so im not sure how big it was. We all had a blast and another very good fathers day. Not exactly the biggest of the day! Dads musky

Sounds like a great trip. Nice musky, my buddy used to lay the ones he caught on the paddle and cut a notch in it for checking length later.
