I do get tired of being the guy that reports I didn't catch fish....but "I am what I am...."...last weekend I had old friends come visit and we took out a guide who put us on to fish pretty well. Since it had nothing to do with my fishing knowledge I didn't think a report was in order.....this past weekend I had my daughter (17) and son (14) on the boat on Sat and armed with my new guide-supplied intel I proceeded up Gills with a bunch of big alewives....caught one dink to at least say I didn't get skunked.....good news is my daughter was seriously impressed with the 2 lb striper we caught. Found the fish in upper gills...ran bait right through them....no planer board action....no float action..... Attachments:

Thanks for the report. Sounds like good quality time with the kids.

Any day on the water is a good one...... Also, reports of catching fish or not catching fish are all good - beats sitting behind the desk or in an airplane seat which I've been doing too much of lately. Also - over time the reports - catching or not catching - are useful not only to others - but also yourself when you go back and look at what worked or did not work for you or others at a given time of year. Really appreciate the reports from everyone - I think I counted over 30 different folks that have posted up reports since this summer - that is really good stuff - definitely appreciate the effort in doing so
