Got a late start today and fished till 11. I was late because I realized that my license was expired when I was halfway to the ramp. Back to Walmart. ....
It was slow till 10. Then I found some. About 18 feet down, near the bottom of brush was the ticket. Finished with 22 crappie , all released, plus a few each of white perch, yellow perch, shell crackers, and bass. All on jigs. A handful of the crappies were dinks, but the majority were 9-13".
Additionally, I lost 13, mostly crappies. Faulty hook...
I had the best luck in clear water below halesford bridge. Water Temps were around 78 everywhere.
