Put in at Hardy at about 12. Slept in for the 1st time in forever. Pretty easy getting through the shallow water. Kept catching the mondo gizzards. Things were huge. Trolled for a while with some big uns but no action. Went back to the same area that we caught the big bait and found some that were a little smaller. My 14 year old son throws the net and the one time he decides to put down the 12' and pick up the 8, it hung. I mean hung good. Not coming loose. So, I cut a couple lines and salvaged what I could, which is basically weights that I can add to the new 8'. We trolled the smaller baits and did decent. Not great. Caught 4, all over 26". All were caught on float rigs. All released. The fish never really came up on top like they did last Saturday evening. The peanuts were all around but they didn't come up very much either. We left about dark, and had a little bit of a hard time getting back to the ramp. It amazes me the size of the fish in this lake. Hardly ever catch a small fish. Similar to what Leo was talking about, it was a great day because I got to spend it with my son and we really had a fun day.

Great report! I can't wait until my boy gets big enough to throw the net.
