The shad are still coming in, but it's getting later and later...This one was from Friday night and it exploded on a top water gurgler.

Nice fish - I noticed the bait www just starting to flip on the banks as I wrapped up catching bait around 12-12:30 am.

Actually I usually carry a couple casting rods with me when I go out to catch bait but forgot that night - and three nights of 4-5 hrs of sleep wasn't going to allow for one of those being 2 hrs Always have the with me when bait fishing though - especially this time of year - never know when and where they will break and sometimes a fish will chase a gizzard for a mile but not eat it - toss a Thunderstick out there where it's chasing and Fish On!
