Just thought I would let you guys know that leesville has a lot of floating debris on it. I went up there last night and there was more trash than I've ever seen and I've seen it really bad. So if you choose to go up there at night, be extremely careful.

Folks, when on Leesville at night, heed fishnfly's warning. It can be extremely hazardous because of the logs, barrels, & even docks that have broken loose that floats in the water. Although it's worse at night when the water is up, don't be fooled, the water can be trashy at any time, day or night, high or low water. I have been there nights where you could almost walk across the lake on the log jams that come down the lake. Another problem is when those big logs float into the ramp, and you have to have a chain saw to cut a path to load your boat. Been there done that. Fortunately my buddy had a chain saw in his truck. When fishing Leesville at night, sometimes you can only use "idle speed" to move around. When 10 miles up river from the ramp, that makes for a long night getting home. Been there, done that too. Keep in mind, anytime you fish Leesville Lake, day or night, it can make for a real adventure! Also.........Make sure your life and boat insurance is paid up!!
