WT 70-74 I have not been able to fish much lately, but my son and family came with us for the long weekend. Bait of course was no problem getting ales. I checked my notes from past years and headed out to where we had caught fish before. We did find a school but no takers. We used planers, free lines, floats, even down lines. We caught one 26" off a point along with a 3LB largemouth. We pulled for over a mile with no other takers. We could see we were coming over some fish, but there was so much bait they did not have to go far. I looked down at the mouth of a large creek and it looked like the 4th of July night with all the boats. This was Sat. morn. Sunday, nothing. Monday morning I was going to go up the lake a bit, but we decided to stop about 5:30am where all the boats were the previous day. We had some fish break a couple of times. It was not a bunch and it only lasted about a minute each time. There was a tremendous amount of bait. They would run them to the top and then go back down. We did notice ale parts floating all around at times. We did catch another 26" on a float. All takers were shallow. We never did make it up the lake. At one point, I counted 18 boats in the area with no activity. After the bass boats started coming through, we pulled up and went back to spend some time with my grandkids. After reading many other posts, everyone seemed to have similar experiences.
Great time though with family and being on the lake.
