Been slaying them at the dam all May. So went there again sunday and Monday. Got there by 5:15am. The pump back was on! Had my fishing pro son with me and expected the action to resume. Pulled alewives on down lines, planners and free lines. Got humbled by mother nature as it was an absolute skunk. Not one hit. Felt bad for my overly busy son who rarely gets to fish anymore. Growing up and having kids and working plays hell with your fishing time. I ventured out alone yesterday and there was no pump back. I had a good one on early on a free line but fumbled around with my telescopic net and my knot came undone. No more hits so I went up to R13 at Waterfront and was also skunked. Sea doos started started coming out @ 7:30 so it was time to wrap it up. Must now use my fishing skill to find fish instead of relying on dam. It's more fun. Like an old elk guide once told me " the elk are where you find them." Same thing for stripers.
