Been fishing pretty hard-mostly night fishing since mid-march.
I have to say that this has been the slowest spring as far as numbers of fish for me in many many years. I actually cant remember a year this bad. Ive been fishing the lake for over 30 years.
We did catch some decent fish this year- a little better than the past few years but the numbers seem to be way off. I communicate with many other good fishermen and they feel the same way about the numbers of fish.
Any thoughts by others on the population of stripers in the lake ? I mostly fish the RR river and pretty much all of it and the main lake to the mouth of BW.

I've had a very good year on numbers so far. The patterns have changed a good bit from 3-5 years ago to back 10 or so. Just what I have been seeing.

Yea I dont know. I spent a lot of time on the water and really did not mark the amounts of fish that I would normally. Just wonderin what others that spend a lot of time on the water think.

I've had a few good fish this spring, but even those are down from the last few years. I fish only at night, and with artificial lures. The same lures are working, it's just the fish are not cooperating.
