After watching the radar all day Friday I decided to take a chance and fish Friday night. Apparently, I'm no meteorologist. I like fishing down lake this time of year and that's where I found a few fish. Found some rain too. Once the sky opened up the bite turned off and I took my wet self home for some sleep. I only managed 2 fish in the 5-7 pound range.
Thunderstick in pink and chrome
Had a few things to tend to Saturday morning and afterwards I made my way to the lake. Hit the water about 230 and wow was it hot. Dragged a u-rig around all of the tubers, cigarette boats, jet skis and very few fisher people. Caught 5 fish in the 5-7 pound range. Warmest water temp was 68.5 but I found 3 stripers floating. Not sure why ?? I dodged several storms in the afternoon and bolted before the big one hit.
Urigs with a mix of white and green swim baits
I was sitting at Christmas tree island waiting for some clouds to pass and had a boatload of ladies come up to the island. They all hopped in the water to pee. Was funny as heck. They apologized for disturbing my peace and quiet but I told them I was leaving because the water was too warm lol.

? I,m thinking about getting with ny Buddy & coming down in a coulole weeks we normaly come around B6 for the night bite !!! Is that area good right now !!!! Thanks !! HOpe to see you !! God Bless !!!
