5/20 blackwater crappies

I thought blackwater had all the crappies???

Fished some of the major creeks on that side all morning. I caught a bunch, 25 or so, but most were small. I did get 2 at 15". I was shooting docks again, and tried all types. No pattern, and no bunches of fish.

Water was 65 and clear.

As a side note, the bluegill spawn is going full bore right now. I must have caught 50 of them. Not many big ones though.

Noticed a lot of big shad on the banks too.

All fish released.

Glad you caught enough to keep you busy. My morning was a little slow.
