I have cut my pipe and bought my strap. I am just waiting on some special screws and nuts that I have on order. I did think about the ratchet strap, but thought it may be too bulky.

What is the silver tape for??? They look good!!! Did you use rivets??

The silver tape is to cover the rivets so they will not mess up the rubber handles.

Looks great i was going to use 1.25" pipe but i use larger rods when i go to the chesapeake bay so i wanted it to fit them. Where did you find the aluminum threaded rivets?
