Greetings I've only been on SML a few times, mainly from Mormons to R15. I hear a lot about the keys section for striper fishing... where is that? Where is the best place to launch? I can't wait to try it, already a big improvement from what I'm used to.

Cedar Keys - it's not the been the hot spot over the last few years that it once was but who knows when it might be again.
It's down past the dam a few coves on the right - mouth is "guarded" by a row of no wake buoys.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll give blackwater a try... it's all new water to me but the markers are my friend and help a lot. Where's the best place to launch for blackwater? I'm coming from roanoke.

If you're fishing the upper end of Blackwater magnum point marina is a good place. But you have to pay. No public ramps on upper end. I guess penhook boat sick is the next best place it's a public ramp. Its gonna put you in at the bull run area of the lake.
