Made it out on the lake tonight again with my brother. We fished from around 10:30pm - 1am. Conditions on the boat were ideal, comfortable temps, minimal wind, glassy to slightly rippled water, and we were both in a good mood . However, another "nothing special" night as far as a fishing report. We caught a few more small ones. One primary point we fished was active, and we caught a few fish there. Otherwise, it was a fairly quiet night. Although the water temps are at the right level, I'm just not seeing the shad spawn in strong force yet. Ales are plentiful, but until there is a full shad spawn, I just don't think we are going to see a consistent top water bite. So we called it an early night to get back to the house to meet a friend coming in from Nashville TN to fish the weekend with us (he was already on the dock casting as we rolled in). The three of us are sitting here now, catching up and drinking a little bourbon. Tonight's music has a little edge to it - Judas Priest - "Living after midnight, rockin' till the dawn"

Sounds like good times regardless of the size or number being caught!
