Damn sorry to hear that John. I have a friend that fishes in Tennessee who got the big 50 gal tank who had major issues as well. His filter wall actually cracked on him.

John - reach out to X-treme Bait Systems and let them know the issues, if you haven't already. Give them a chance to make it right - and keep me informed on the status as how they handle this will be important to me with respect to the on-going relationship with our tournament series.
I know they have changed a number of things to these tanks along the way since the first run tanks late last year - they are now using a Dannco venturi on the units have a gasket seal on the top, a different LED light and I think different knobs (similar, but a little smaller / different) and they no longer run wiring down through the inside wall of the tank and out the bottom (which may be a source of some of the leaking). I know they will ship out a "kit" to add the gasket, but if you've got water in the walls then more needs to be addressed here.....

Sorry to hear about these issues. I too bought an Xtreme 30 Gal tank and so far I have been pretty happy with it. My only issue was with the LED lights not working when I got it. Spent 5 minutes with the wiring and got it to work.
I've kept baits overnight with no issues a number of times. The only problem I had was when trying to re-use a larger bait it died overnight and drifted down to the water intake and blocked the flow - not the tanks fault in other words.
I too have been a bit disappointed by the "flow rate" - it seems the circulation could be better but, it does make a circular water flow, just not a very strong one - adjusting the air intake seems to make quite a bit of difference on this.
Now, all of this being said, I've never owned another tank to compare it to but there are some things that could be better. I completely removed the knobs on the top as they are more hassle than they are worth. Maybe if I trailered the boat I would still use them but for motoring around the lake the lid is heavy enough it doesn't go anywhere.
