Beautiful evening out there. But.... The weather forecast for later tonight looks rough. No point in fighting it Maybe even embrace it
Eddie Rabbitt "Well I love a rainy night, such a beautiful sight. I love to feel the rain on my face, taste the rain on my lips........showers wash all my cares away"

Bummer!! Know what you mean. A bad night on the lake is better than a good day at work!!!

So we waited the early storms out and took advantage of a 1.5 hour window between 11pm -12:30am. It had actually stopped raining when we made our first stop, and we picked up 4 in the first 20 minutes, all on top water off a main channel point. No real size to them, but a good start. But then it started to drizzle, and gradually picked up to a steady rain again with some light wind. The raining and wind killed the top water action, so along with top water we also worked in some shallow running lures. No more takers. The high point of the night was a couple coons screeching and carousing around. Sounded like a big night for that couple.
The rain continued to intensify, and with a few flashes of lightning we were back in the dock at 12:30. It was a good night for sleep.

Nothing like a Hillbilly being entertained by a couple of coons Hopefully the weather is going to give you guys a break the rest of the week at night at least - else maybe you'll need to get up early, catch a little bait and make a long boat ride

I'm not much on getting up early, but I do love to stay up late, drink a beer, and throw a net off the dock in the wee hours. A long boat ride, hmm, I think I'm catching your wake
