4/22-4/24 buggs island blues

Went down camping at buggs this past weekend. Stayed at staunton river state park which is a really nice place if ya ain't never been. Me and a group of guys I work with go every year about this time for a weekend and fish for blue cats. To me personally is the funnest fish to fish for. I hate I have to drive so far to catch them, wished we had them in SML. We had an awesome time. Caught 30 plus fish in about a day and a half fishing. Rain and thunderstorms kept us at bay most of the weekend. Buddy of mine who had never been caught a 14 pounder which was the biggest fish he's ever caught, and ended up being the biggest for the weekend. Had several 10 lbs. And most was around 5lb. Caught most of the fish on bobbers and planer boards in about 5' of water. Using cut shad and chicken breast soaked in strawberry jello sounds crazy but they like it.
