My wife and I tried pulling pb for first time today. No fish probably because we could not catch any good bait, only small ales. Oh well, learning experience.

Short run, the fish are transitioning back to feeding mostly on smaller bait.....get off the bank and add some length behind your boards...

All I could catch is I think what y'all call peanuts. I do not know how you can even keep them alive. Hopefully will get to go Thursday.

Read Bentrod's article about how he live bait fishes for stripers....very informative. If you don't have a decent bait tank system with pump and filter it is going to be very hard to keep bait alive for more than a couple hours as well. smlfishingforums.proboards.com/thread/219/live-bait-fish-stripers

Once these water temps hit 65 it becomes much more difficult to keep your bait frisky.
