I was targeting crappies for a few hours in the morning and ended up catching a good mixed bag.
I stayed between Lynnville and grimes and fished big minnows under slip bobbers and planer boards. I got a half dozen keeper slabs, and lost about that many too. It was only a few crappies in each spot, and they were biting light. Anywhere from 3-12 feet down on brush mostly. I also got a few nice yellow perch, largemouth, bluegills, and a 28" channel cat.
It was a busy, productive few hours. Water Temps were around 60. I had most of my luck in clearer water.
