When is a good time to fish? Anytime is primetime to fish! Searched for bait Fri afternoon to implement a plan for sat. Landed about 8 dollars and 2 mongos. 2 mongos are not in the picture Jason and I took off to my favorite hole! Shortly we had a 28 inch in the boat, and a large mouth on board also. Later in the evening, we took off in search of mongos. By the end of the night we both had a tank full Sat morning I took off to begin the tournament. Short time later I had a fish on and a pic for striper mafia! Yea man! I was excited! During the tournament I broke off a couple of fish. What a bummer! Here is the GOOD NEWS! I did not lose my trolling motor remote! Haha! BAD NEWS, Jason gave me the books and knot tying class, and sadly I failed the class to two broken off fish. MORE GOOD NEWS! Yam told me the stripers cut the line with there fin. I didn't attend that class. Maybe I did pass knot tying class. Haha! Ok, my tm batteries gave out about 1230. I went to plan b. Cut bait. I only tried that for a while without any luck. Wt, 55, 56 Pulled 2 PB after reading earlier post about keeping it simple while fighting the wind on bank side. Inside board had 3/8oz weight. Used mongos. May sound crazy but I'd rather fight the wind then the leaves. I did learn about knot tying and not muscling the fish. Also, I'm moving up to a bigger tm to a 36 volt and picking 3 group batteries from interstate batteries today. Thanks for everyone's help and patience to teach me how to fish and catch bait. Especially to Jason! I am still learning and will ask more questions. The tournament was GREAT! The sponsors were awesome along with Mike and Tyler putting in the work to make it happen!

Is the big stick next to the console in case you need to knock a fish out or to help ensure your fishing buddy doesn't pull a MWard and get to the rod first?

Is the big stick next to the console in case you need to knock a fish out or to help ensure your fishing buddy doesn't pull a MWard and get to the rod first? Well.... a friend gave it to me last year when i fished for cobia in the bay. My daughter and I caught a couple and it looked like it was a murder scene. Jason asked me about the stick and I told him it was for a pirate in case the boat was overtaken.

Harley great report. Congrats on keeping the remote this time. Haha. Its great that jason has been able to help you along the way with addvice and it has definitely built your confidence level about your abilitys way up. You fished last tournament by yourself, hats off my friend. Im very glad that we met last year. Keep up the hard work. And as far as the 36 volts system goes you wont be disappointed what so ever. Great job buddy.
