Put in at Hardy at about 8 a.m. Navigated my way throught the Mariana Trench, uh, not. Another drop of water out and I am not getting out of there. Look for bait, catch plenty, but nothing to shout about. Put out the load of lines, and not really much action. One decent striper and a smallish flathead. Talked to a couple of guys and they had caught several. We knew we had to find the money makers. Looked in several coves, but nothing. Finally I remember seeing a loose school on the finder while we were trolling. We go back there and look around a bit. There they were on the finder. My 14 year old throws the 12' net and he said as soon as is started to sink he saw the flashes of money. 50 or so excellent money makers. Keep about 30 and throw the others back. We troll for about an hour with no action. Then out of no where it starts. It was so furious that we had to take several rods out of the water. 2 of us just could not keep up. We ended up fishing with 6 lines out, 3 down and 3 on redi rig floats. We honestly don't know how many we caught. Conservative estimate is 12. One thing we remember was that only 2 could have been under slot. We didn't measure or take a lot of pics because it was getting dark and we were so busy. It was truly awesome. I will try and post what pics we took sometime after church today. Bentrod preaches money makers and he is absolutely correct. Most all fish were caught off floats. All fish were released and released quickly. Getting back into the boat ramp was an adventure. It is extremely shallow at Hardy.
