I fully intended to fish with artificial bait Saturday. So I took the bait tank and cast nets off the boat to keep the temptation away. Started around 430pm and fished until dark. My 5th or 6th cast produced my first fish.... 27"....on a Spro bucktail in shad with a 4" white Gulp mullet trailer. Thought it was on after that. Fished that area for a solid 2 hours without another bite. Moves way up lake to a spot that I love this time of the year. Apparently the LMB do too. Caught 6 bass on a bucktail in this spot. Couldn't buy a Striper bite. Fished until dark and called it. Was a beautiful day to be on the water.

Glad you hooked up with one at least and then the 6 green fish. Great report

Be interested to know what color bucktails you were throwing to interest those LMB. Working hard for LMB with little success. I always have a bucktail ready to go for the occasional striper feeding frenzy.
