Put in around 7:00 headed towards the Roanoke arm and hit up a couple of the major creek up that way. Pulled a buffet of selections that would suit the pallet of any somewhat hungry stripe. Pulled boards and redi-rig floats on free lines, and also light lines. Had 2 down lines set up as well. Around 10:00 when the first fish was all over the free lining redo-rig, reeled MAYBE 3 cranks and he gone! After losing that fish it took a couple minutes when the bank side planet had a good swirl with no action. Pulled for another half hour without anymore action. Headed to another creek and marked quite a few fish, decided to throw the same spread out again. This time not even a sniff, pulled and then decided to run the rest of the creek out and then head for the house. At the mouth of the creek a few fish came up on one of the down lines sniffed, and turned away and went back down. Overall it was a nice day on the water, on a side note I blame not catching anything on me forgetting the net when I cleaned the inside of the boat last night....set it aside in the dark last night did some cleaning, and completely forgot it this morning. (That's my excuse anyway!!!)

Better to lose one out in the water, than to have a good one bumping the boat..............and then realize you forgot the net.
