Came up Friday evening, left a little later than i would have liked but nonetheless got there safe and checked in with Mward about 8:30. Put the boat in the water and parked next to Yam and talked to him a little bit about bait and pioneer boats! Left out in search of bait, well i threw and threw and finally had a couple 8" baits and one gigantic mongo! (my first on the big baits) Also netted some ales just to have some baits! Left out that morning and went South did not do much down there but with all the debris in the water i refuse to run wide open without being able to be seen! So we decided to head up north, after pulling into our spot my brother said "there they are" so real quick got within a couple hundred yards and put the trolling motor down and started casting. Ended up boating 4 that went from 25"-30".. after that we pulled the same creek and had a couple boards get hit just for fun it seemed! nothing the rest of the day, however in that same area threw the net and ended up with good size bait (to me, but small to you guys LOL) about 8" long.. That is always the hardest for me, is finding big baits! i have a 12' and 10' net, i just added down scan so it seems to show me a little better of what i am looking at. So hopefully i will be able to pick some up better in the future! Nice to talk to everyone, and thank you Mike/Tyler and SML Striper club for everything you did.
