Spent Friday fishing spots that were new to me. Had a few baits get chased and rolled on but not one solid bite. Did do pretty good catching bait though.
My plan was to start Saturday morning within sight of the house. I planed to stage up there well before daylight and be the first boat to pull that stretch. As I was headed down to the dock I saw a boat pull in and knew it was now his spot. He got up very early and earned it. Good job guys.
I pulled around the middle of our creek for awhile waiting on the bass boat guys to get to their spots then we reeled in and headed down the lake. Got the boards out and quickly picked up our first fish.
We were very happy to have yesterday's skunk off our backs.
About noon we got our second fish.
Spent the rest of of our time pulling the biggest bait we had tiring to upgrade. Some fish showed themselves but wouldn't commit.
In a nutshell, we had 2 bites and got lucky.
