Got up to the lake to work on bait Thursday afternoon. I had hoped to fill up the tank and do some scout fishing Friday. No such luck. I was able to make about 9 good baits. Woke up the next morning to keep working on it. Threw all morning but didn't make any more. Everyone I talked to was having a hard time with it. Cohesion texted me that afternoon and pointed me in the direction of some nice bait. Able to make 6 more so we had 15 big baits ready for the tournament. Headed out at 7 to start. Realized I'd left out TM remote at the house. Luckily we hadn't gone far. Finally got fishing ended up tangling up our boards trying to make a tight turn. Hooked up a small fish shortly there after and got a lesson on where not to measure the fish as we had a 25" slide off the back of the boat before we got the picture. Put two more small ones in the boat and had tons of nervous and swirled on big bait. Then we hit a lull and had no action for a few hours. Around 1 it started to turn on. We missed a pretty good fish on a board. Picked up two others on boards that gave us a total of 54 3/4 and made sure the lost 25" didn't hurt us. Trolling motor batteries died about 2 and we were all pretty cold and wet.
We all really enjoyed ourselves and had fun fishing that format. Mike and Tyler do a great job with this. Unfortunately we had a youth fisherman that wasn't feeling well so we didn't stick around for the award presentation.
Despite the weather and some tough conditions we really enjoyed it. We'll see if we can't improve at the April event.

Glad you made up for it.... kind of like the time in a Club tourney when we had a double with a 15 and 17 lb fish and got them in the boat, measured, photoed and back in the water..... and then about 15 min later after we got everything untangled and going again I'm sitting there watching the boards and it hits me..... I did't put the token cards in either of the pics
