It was a COLD, WET day out there - but 39 teams and over 100 fishermen (and women) braved the conditions and got it done......
I'll get around to uploading some pics and all when I get some rest - as well as the series standings, but here are the key results...
Youth Category:
1st - Devan - Team Lawrence - 33"
2nd - Carson -Team SeaJay - 31"
3rd - Chase - Team Pullin' Bait - 29.5
(Left to Right - Chase, Carson, Devan)
Big Fish - $1025
Team "The James Gang" - just a hair under 38.5".... had to round it down to 38.25.....
Overall:
1st: Team Squidhound - 72.25" (36.75" & 35.5") - $1470
2nd: Team StripedYam - 70" (35.25" & 34.75") - $585
3rd: Team Knot a Clue - 65" (35.5" & 29.5") - $295
4th: Team PrimeTime - 63.75" (36.75" & 27" - $150
4 teams won a cash-raffle to receive their $75 entry fee back....
Total fo 1596.25" of fish were checked in today - 52 fish in total with 32 of the 39 teams catching at least one fish.
22 of the 52 fish turned in were slot fish.... 42% - of course we don't see the other fish caught & released that were in or out of the slot - I know of multiple teams that caught 5, 6 or more fish.
Thanks to everyone that came out and braved the conditions... Weathermen suck..... so does the "FutureCast" radar apparently as it said the rain was stopping 30 min from now pretty much all afternoon - and it never really did till after 5pm. I promise in April it will be better...
