Anyone tried it? 6 pound monofilament is so spindly and weak. Maybe braided is a little better? Although I normally loathe braided line I'm thinking it's better sensitivity might get more fish landed.

If anyones interested this works awesome! I tried it the other day and its perfect as a tippet particularly when paired with a 50 pound shock leader setup. Im using 10 pound pro braid as a tippet, its about as thin as 6 pound monofil but way stronger yet thin enough to get through the eye of most small flies. I should add that I use monofil as my shock leader because it kind of has a bungee effect when anything big hits it and the braided doesn't so its more likely to just snap.
The only thing I've found is that you have to use about 3 extra wraps than youd normally use when you tie knots with this stuff its kind of a pain at first but once you figure it out its the ticket!

I've been fishing #40 flouro. ...but we've also been targeting bigger fish...I've caught a 15 and a 25 so far and my buddy just caught a solid 25 the other day too..that light stuff won't cut it, even braid. I watched a guy break one off on 10# braid the other day.... I just got in some new Airflo 20# hard flouro, but inn hesitant to try it with all these big fish around...sooner or later one of us is gonna land a 40# on the fly, I got a feeling it might be this spring
