Headed up to the lake Friday afternoon with 3 buddies of mine, who aren't the best fishermen in the world, to try and catch some good bait for Saturday Morning. I ended up throwing the net for a few hours and only came away with a handful of money makers, not one Mongo. Noticed a large amount of trash throughout the BW to the point that I was a bit uneasy driving fast in low light conditions. on the water by 645 saturday morning and headed straight up river. fished creeks and rock banks with planers to no avail on saturday. Long story short, a big fat skunk. Woke up sunday morning at 530am(the same time i did the day before) in order to get everything ready. I slowly realized that day light savings had occurred and that the sun wouldn't be coming up until around 730, instead of 630. So I went down to the dock to and threw the net. One throw produced 30 large ales and we were ready for the day. I was set to find some clean water so we ran downriver this time. fished planers up along the bank and picked up 2 fish fairly quickly one 25" and one 27". fished for the better part of the morning until we decided one more pass then we'll call it a day. just as we began to finish the pass our bankside planar board gets blown up. i'm closet to the rod, so i set the hook, take the rod out of the holder and look to let one of my buddies catch this fish (i had caught the 27incher). as I offered up the rod, one of my buddies comes storming from the bow to the stern, snatches the rod, and immediately lost his balance out of pure excitement and falls to the bottom of the boat.....Needless to say that fish didn't make it to the boat. called it a day around 1130am. a bit slower than I had hoped for, but still a good weekend on the water.
