Started out from Hardy at 6:30ish. Noticed CCs getting bait near Bay Rock. Tried chasing and throwing on flips on south side of bridge. Never saw balls bait on fish finder. Went to other side of bridge where the CCs were. Chased the flips with no luck. Went into Bay Rock. No flipping in there. Oh, forgot to say, throwing an 8' 1/2" in 4 to 14 foot of water. Getting a pretty good spread. Decided to go after another species... Water temp at ramp was 54°, 60° in coves across from Mormans. Never saw any striper working bait.

Keep at it. An 8' / 1/2" can be a little small / slow in deeper water but should work in shallow if the baits there.

6:30 was a great time to have been casting plugs.. Look for bait in the Cove at the boat ramp
