Ran across this today. Galvanized chain vs a lead line. Apparently heavy - used shrimping. Anyone up to trying it?

The chain may be an advantage for shrimping because it will hug the bottom instead of letting shrimp on the bottom slip out between the lead weights as you are dragging the lead line across the bottom to close the net.
The chain might even fall faster than lead weights on a heavy line. Someone more energetic than me could analyze the density of lead on a nylon lead line vs a chain. Or someone less math inclined could take a lead line and a chain and play Archimedes in the bath tub.

I do too... So I don't use my teeth to throw a cast net! A bonus to learning how to throw a net without using my teeth is that I don't get wet either!
